Here we go again! Another free VST that blows my mind that there even is such a thing. Everyone knows about Antares ubiquitous plug-in, Auto-Tune. And most everyone knows the hefty price tag attached to it as well. The price has always been beside the point, though, because there were so few tools that could do the job and, frankly, it needed to be done!

So for everyone out there who can't or won't forsake eating this month so they can buy Auto-Tune as well, GVST offers you an easy solution in GSnap. A surprisingly effective tool considering the price; GSnap is actually pretty easy to use as well. If the help manual on the download page still doesn't make things clear, there are some videos floating around on YouTube that walk you through tuning a vocal (ala Cher and/or T-Pain) that should tighten up your own tracks in no time.

There is another free VST that is said to accomplish the same thing as Auto-Tune and GSnap, but I haven't been able to figure out how to make that one work well yet. I am not sure if that is a deficiency of mine or of the plug-in, but for now I'll keep it under wraps until I can recommend it to everyone here. There are so many good free VST's out there that I don't feel the need to post anything that I don't believe in anyway :-)

GSnap is free software
